Taxis are identifiable by their all white livery and all taxis are fitted with metres and charge government controlled prices. The taxi drivers in Malta are probably some of the friendliest cabbies in the world!

The public transport network of buses covers nearly all the islands. Car hire rates in Malta are good value.

You can also enjoy a relaxing trip on the calm, blue Mediterranean Sea by taking an island or harbour cruise or cross between Valletta and Sliema at half hourly intervals.

A regular ferry service carries passengers and cars between Malta and Gozo. Journey time is around 30 minutes.
