SIGHTSEEING

With so much to do and see in Malta, the best way to achieve this is by taking half and full day excursions. Boat trips around Malta, Gozo & Comino including the Blue Lagoon as well as cruises around the Grand Harbour can be booked in advance.

If visiting during the summer months, be sure to catch the annual festa (feast) each town in Malta, Gozo & Comino host on the streets with plenty of food, drink, dance and colour culminating in a grand fireworks display.

Areas of Malta worth a visit include St Julians Bay, Mdina, Qawra, Sliema, St Paul's Bay and Bugibba, Gozo and Comino. The islands have a packed calendar of cultural events to see such as the Summer Malta Arts Festival, the Valletta Baroque Festival, the Opera Festival, the Choir Festival and the International Jazz Festival held in July.

The island of Comino was once a hideout of pirates & smugglers and is only 2.5km by 1.5km in size so it is ideal for a day's hiking.

Gozo is extremely popular with both tourists and locals for its serenity and quiet beauty. Often referred to as 'the land where time stood still', Gozo is an excellent option for those who like to take long walks.
